Hot Keys

If you find that clicking on the shifters, throttles, thrusters, and the rudder is too tedious, hot keys were added to make it easier to control the boat.

Rudder Control

For Windows and Mac Users – The left and right arrow keys or keys U and I operate the rudder. Each key press moves the rudder five degrees in the clockwise or counter clockwise direction. Hold down the arrow keys for rapid rudder change.

Thruster Control

For Windows and Mac Users – Q and W operate the Bow Thruster, while A and S operate the Stern Thruster. Hold down the key to keep the Thruster engaged. Hold down bother thrusters simultaneously to walk the boat toward the dock.

Engine Control – Twin Inboard – Integrated Throttles and Shifters

For a Windows Machine:

Home or key E is left throttle increase.
End or key D is left throttle decrease.

Key C returns the left throttle to neutral.

PageUp or key R is right throttle increase.
PageDown or key F is right throttle decrease.

Key V returns the right throttle to neutral.

For a MAC using Safari:

FN + Control + Left Arrow or key E is left throttle increase.
FN + Control + Right Arrow or key D is left throttle decrease.

Key C returns the left throttle to neutral.

FN + Control + Up Arrow or key R is right throttle increase.
FN + Control + Down Arrow or key F is right throttle decrease.

Key V returns the right throttle to neutral.

Engine Control – Twin Inboard – Separate Throttles and Shifters

For a Windows Machine:

Home or key E is left shifter forward.
End is or key D left shifter reverse.

Key returns the left shifter to neutral.

PageUp or key R is right shifter forward.
PageDown key F is right shifter reverse.

Key V returns the right shifter to neutral.

CTRL + Home or key T is left throttle increase.
CTRL + End or key G is left throttle decrease.

Key C returns the left throttle to neutral.

CTRL + PageUp or key Y is right  throttle increase.
CTRL + PageDown or key H is right throttle decrease.

Key V returns the right throttle to neutral.

For a MAC using Safari:

FN + Left Arrow or key E is left shifter forward.
FN + Right Arrow or key D is left shifter reverse.

Key C returns the left shifter to neutral

FN + Up Arrow or key R is right shifter forward.
FN + Down Arrow or key F is right shifter reverse.

Key V returns the right shifter to neutral.

FN + Control + Left Arrow or key T is left throttle increase.
FN + Control + Right Arrow or key G is left throttle decrease.

Key C returns the left throttle to neutral.

FN + Control + Right Arrow or key Y is right throttle increase.
FN + Control + Left Arrow or key H is right throttle decrease.

Key V returns the right throttle to neutral.

Engine Control – Single I/O- Integrated Throttle and Shifter

For a Windows Machine:

Home  or key E is throttle increase.
End or key D is throttle decrease.

Key C returns the throttle to neutral.

For a MAC using Safari:

FN + Control + Left Arrow or key E is throttle increase.
FN + Control + Right Arrow or key D is throttle decrease.

Key C returns the throttle to neutral.

Engine Control – Single I/O- Separate Throttle and Shifter

For a Windows Machine:

Home or key E is shifter forward.
End or key D is shifter reverse.

Key C returns the throttle to neutral.

CTRL + Home or key T is throttle increase.
CTRL + End or key G is throttle decrease.

Key returns the throttle to neutral.

For a MAC using Safari:

FN + Left Arrow or key E is shifter forward.
FN + Right Arrow or key D is shifter reverse.

Key C returns the shifter to neutral.

FN + Control + Left Arrow or key T is throttle increase.
FN + Control + Right Arrow or key G is throttle decrease.

Key C returns the throttle to neutral.
